🕺🏽 Embodiment practices help us rebuild:

🧠 capacity — to hold complexity and release stress
🔥 courage — to face hard truths without bypassing
🤝 connection — to self and community
🩵 trust — in ourselves and in relationships committed to repair

These practices are part of a decolonial approach to embodiment.

Decolonial embodiment practices aim to restore agency over our own bodies, reclaim ancestral and cultural wisdom, and heal patterns imposed by colonial histories. They prioritize autonomy, consent, creativity, curiosity, and relational integrity.

We honor that each body and nervous system is unique, and may require different practices at different times.

The body and psyche are not separate. What happens to and with our bodies shapes the nervous system, and the nervous system shapes how we perceive and relate to the world and to one another.

Decolonial embodiment practices support:
🌿 healing and repair
⚡ release of anxiety, stress, and tension
🌺 pleasure
🎨 expression
🔍 self-knowledge
🌀 trauma integration

These practices are non-performative.
Look how you want to look.
Get weird!
Feel free to use whatever music you like.

We practice with intentions of:
💛 care
🙏 humility
🌎 gratitude

All experiences—including pleasure or arousal—are part of life and are yours to navigate with consent and awareness.

I’m deeply grateful to the many teachers, cultures, and lineages around the world that have shaped these practices. A full gratitude list is shared here:
